There are social boundaries and in most cultures touching strangers on the butt or breasts is considered an assault. (IDK if that applies yet to Italy - butt pinching there was notorious in the '60s)

Well, first I'd check to make sure there wasn't a giant bug or spider on my ass, and the person was just killing it for me with a good hard smack, or also that my ass was on fire and the person was being a good samaritan and slapping the flames out for me. That said, if neither of those scenarios were happening, then I'd probably bitch-slap the person right back and drop a tampon in their latte.

I think it would offend me more often than not. If it was a girlfriend just being silly, I wouldn't mind it, but I think that for a man to do it, I would feel more uneasy because he shouldn't feel that comfortable with me. Anyway, I can only recall it happening one time, and it was a guy who was a big jokester, so it didn't really but me.
