Changing banks

How long have you been a member of your primary bank? Have you ever switched banks? If you ever have, what's been the reason?

It's been years since I technically changed banks. When we first got married, we opened an account at the bank I had been using and had it for a number of years until a few job changes later. Because of the "routing number" of my paycheck, there could be up to a five day hold after it was deposited. Yes, I agree that's bullshit so we decided to close that account and open one at the same bank that the company had the account at. Any time our account changed after that was because the old bank was taken over by a new one.

My primary bank....I've been with them for about a year and a half. Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia and I was with Wachovia for years. I still have accounts in both banks.

I been with Compass for a year and a half, as of now, I have no reason to switch banks.

Been with BOFA for almost 30 years. Overall I've been okay with them, though at times I've had smaller accounts at credit unions as well.

Through the years I've opened secondary accounts at others here and there, but I've been at my primary bank for the past 16 years.

Too long & if I wasn't so spidered in I'd drop those bastards in a heartbeat.

I have been at my credit union for 10 years. I don't mess with banks.

Same for me as well. I have been at my primary bank since 1999, mostly for savings. But in the time since I have had multiple checking and additional savings accounts at different banks that for whatever reason wound up being closed.
