Pretty bad until I was old enough to claim myself on my tax return. I'll be damned if I put my kids through that.

I remember going to court about child support at one time. Other than that, my dad waited in the car when he picked us up but on one occasion he came into the house and talked to my mom cordially about something.
Divorce was once more contentious than it is in the Bruce Willis-Demi Moore-Ashton Kutcher days.

It was hostile for a number of years, but now they have become jaded and just sort of stay out of each others way.
