D'Angelo Is Plotting a Return

You think D'Angelo can make a comeback? According to latest reports he's on tour now and this 3rd album is basically finished....they're just I guess waiting on the right time to go ahead and put it out. Keep in mind that this dude hasn't put out an album since 1999 and only those 2.

I would love to hear it. His "comeback" will be along the lines of Maxwell. Make a hot album, he'll do great on tour.

More power to him. Let him put the album out and see if it can strike a chord with the type of audience that would appreciate the kind of music he does. He might've missed his opportunity to be a star but he can be a credible musician and performer for the rest of his life.

I'll be looking forward to it.

With an artist like him, it's more about just putting the music out and it being good. He was never going to be a pop star anyway. He doesn't have the personality for it, and his music was never intended to appeal to teenagers. His adult audience isn't going to shun him for having stayed away for so long. They'll take his music, so long as it's good. He won't sell millions, but even if he had kept himself in the spotlight, by now he wouldn't be moving big numbers anymore anyway.
