I have known some people from the time I learned to walk. ARe we friends? I wouldn't say that. I have also known a fe people less than 5 years, and though we were close at one time, I think of them more as an acquaintance. For me a friend is one I would trust without fear of ridicule or being judged.

My friend and I grew up in the same neighborhood starting about 6 and we still communicate on Facebook, if that counts lol. I've had contact with a lot of people we grew up with, but he's the only one that I feel has some common sense and doesn't judge.
It's funny because we used to fight each other like rabid wolves! But all of us in the neighborhood grew close for the most part, regardless of age, gender, or race. We were a strange group LOL. We grew to appreciate our friendship as we got older and realized we could trust each other. He's the coolest gay goth white boy I know
