The Master of the Stratocaster, James Marshall Hendrix

My verdict: Whitney's cover stands up to it, but the Isley's original is better.

They're both about equal but I'll give it to Taylor Dayne.

Yessir! Ms. Aaliyah always did justice to her covers, especially the Isley's. Her recordings of "At Your Best (You Are Love)" and "Choosy Lover" are every bit as much of the truth as the originals.

I can't agree with you on her version being the best but I did see her performance in Lightning in a Bottle and thought it was very worthy.

Even though Beyonce's version is more of an interpolation, Bootsy still reigns supreme. I'll never get tired of this song.

They're equal to me. Kate's original is more poignant and Maxwell's cover is softer. I love both of them.

LOL, I actually like their version a lot more than I do Willow's. Jimmy Fallon's impersonation of Neil Young is dead on.

I hated Maxwell for daring to touch Kate's song, but it grew on me.

I prefer Prince's original. While Jordan's version tries to add a bit of sincerity to the piece, it is boring.

Damian and Stephen did a great cover of their father's song, the instrumentation is better.....but I'll take the original.
