Some things may just peak in youth. When I see some of the artwork I did in high school, I can't even believe I did it. Teenagers applying themselves (Like the Olympics) can do remarkable things.
I think my writing has improved with the practice of the past few decades.
My sexual prowess probably peaked in my mid 40s, having improved from my youth. You learn from each experience.
