I didn't go to college but in the military you had roommates, sometimes 4 to a room in bunkbeds. For the most part my roommates and I got along OK, some were even friends and we hung out when not in the room.

I worked and lived at my own place during college. My stepdaughter lived with roommates. She has an bulimic. That was a mess...financially and literally.

didnt go away to college... but my brother in law was roommates with larry miller, the comedian. We were watching his stand up routine and he kept talking about how his college roommate was soooo anal retentive and an total asshole--- and he meant my BIL LOL
