Local Baby Mama Accepts 5 Grand & “Entire World” Gets To Name Her Baby In Return

Generally the socially-acceptable rule of thumb is that when naming your child you don’t name it something stupid that all the other kids will use as bullying ammunition against them in the jungle gym.

But local mother Natasha Hill doesn’t seem to care about that; she’s signed over naming rights for her child-to-be to “the entire world” for about $5,000.

Hill entered the contest via Belly Ballot and intends on using half of the money for credit card debt and the other half for a college fund. Voting on Hill’s baby name will start March 18th and end March 22nd with only 1 girl name and 1 boy name allowed per person and only 1 vote to count. When the vote totals are tallied, the most popular name will be applied to Hill’s baby, sex unknown as of yet.

While sites like LAist have expressed fear over the possible name choices, JACK FM believes that most people are boring and since “the entire world” is voting, Hill’s child will probably end up with a boring, generic name like JACK. Which in and of itself poses challenges because that’s a lot of pressure to be named after the world’s most popular radio station ever.
