Who are your favs on the show?

I'm a newcomer to Y&R - just started watching about a month ago - but I'd love to know who your favs on the show are and why. I'm still getting to know everyone but am enjoying the show so far.

Why are your favs and what is it about the character that you like best?

Right now my faves are Lane (Lily and Cane), Jack and Phyllis.

Okay - I'll keep an eye out for them. I remember liking Jack back when I'd tune in every now and then.

I have watched the show since day one and I hate the way they are bringing all the Newbies on. They just don't fill the bill like the vets do. A few of them have added to the show but very few.
Some of my favorites have come and gone but I still have several that I still like.

Jack and Victor-without them the soap would be dull and boring.
Billy Abbott-He could charm the pants off of anyone.
Ronan-The boy is sexy

I really like Ronan, too! I'm a huge JB fan. I also like Phillys.

Oh I love Jeff too and have since he was on AMC. I think I like him here since I found out he is not a bad guy.

LOL - Yeah - I'm glad he's not a bad guy, either. I quit AMC when he left 'cause I was so disgusted with the show. LOVED him on GL! That was the perfect role for him, it seemed. He was amazing as Shayne Lewis and won GL and Emmy for his portrayal. the sad thing is, thanks to ABC and their biases and how they play the game, I don't trust the Emmy process when it comes to the ABC shows, though i think there's a reason that they're so often shut-out. The CBS soaps are much more deserving than the ABC soaps.

I know that things were really off the year that Jacob Young won an Emmy for his portrayal of Lucky on GH. Things were changed after that, and I think JY's win was a big reason, but I don't know how much things were improved. I don't like the way the cast votes for the two they want to submit. It's nothing but a popularity contest with the ABC soaps and they count on the sensational storyline to win. Two eyars in a row they nominated Zach/Zoe because they thought the gay/lesbian/transgender storyline would win, but they were shut out both times. OLTL is routinely shut out because it's a popularity contest to them, too. The CBS soaps do seem a little more balanced. Jeff Branson was amazing in his role of Shayne Lewis and really deserved to win, but there are other times when I really question the choices.

I am beginning to come around to liking Malcolm's fiance too because she keep putting self righteous Neil in his place.

Yeah - I'm liking her, too.

I also like Ashley, Lauren, Kay and JT.
