Worst Physical Pain You've Ever Felt

Be it an injury, wound or surgery, what's the worst physical pain you've ever had to feel? One unpleasant memory I have of pain:

I had a severely sprained ankle back in 2006. One that would have been better off broken. I have never complained in my life about a sprained ankle, but this time, it hurt. When I wasn't rocked out on Vicodin, all I could think of was the sharp, never ending pain of my ankle. I was visiting a friend in FL at the time and was crashing at his house. I was yelling in pain all night and he couldn't sleep. They dropped me off at the emergency room to get it looked at a 2nd time (turns out cast was too tight). Then I had to drive all the way to IL with my ankle sprained. I tried going on Vicodin. I almost fell asleep on the road. I had to go into a hotel room for the night, and while drowsy, I barely slept. The pain just wouldn't let me. Thankfully, I made the trip successfully the next day. I had to avoid Vicodin to do it, though. Five hours of no pain killers on that was brutal.

I used to be in color guard, where I was a prominently featured sabre performer. If you don't catch those things right, it can be the worst pain imaginable. That hilts are like metal bricks.

When I was about ten years old, I was helping out my uncle at his shop. At closing time, I picked up a black object from behind the counter, thinking it was a marker. It was actually pepper spray. You can guess what happened next; I pressed the button and it sprayed all over my face and hands. My face, eyes and hands burned for days after that.

Let's see, that would either be the time I had a tooth extracted and the dentist didn't think to use any nitrous oxide so I felt the entire procedure...or, three years ago when I fell in the back yard and almost broke my ankle.

I can think of two things, the first was when I was a teen I was riding a bike and I hit a bump in the sidewalk and went flying forward and the bike handle hit me in the B***s. Man I was seeing the stars before me, the pain was excruciating and it knocked the wind right out of me, I just sat there literally dying until the pain subsided. Yes I had a nice purple mark on one of my B***s after that.

Second is recently in August of last year when I broke my Ankle and had to have surgery to put screws in it. I actually think it hurt more when I fell and broke it than after the surgery, I had pain but not as bad as when it actually happened. I had pain killers for the first 3 days after surgery.

4 very impacted wisdom teeth. That's about it.

About eight years ago I had a muscle tension headache. Worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Every doctor I saw (and I saw many) thought it was a sinus infection, and it turned out to be a muscle tension headache which is where two bones near your head don't have that cushioning between them, so the end of the bones are rubbing up against each other. I went to a specialist and he finally diagnosed me correctly. For almost two months straight I was in constant pain, being constantly misdiagnosed. I was given all the high-end painkillers like Vicodin and Tylenol 4 with Codeine and even those didn't help the pain the last couple weeks or my ordeal. I also had a shot of demaral, and that didn't help either. Finally, when it was diagnosed correctly, I was given muscle relaxers and I was healed within two weeks. All it took was a goddamned doctor who actually knew what he was doing!

I broke my neck. That was by far the worst pain ever.

Damn migraines from several years back. Although the carpal tunnel is a very close second.

When I was really small (maybe about 4-6 years old, somewhere around there), I accidentally got my thumb stuck between a door groove and it closed. You can imagine the rest. It took a long time for my thumbnail to grow back after that.

Cramps.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled 20 years ago and to this day the memory of that agony lingers.

Muscle spasm in my back. Was so severe the muscle tissue tore and was bleeding. Locked in that position. This was on a saturday. it wasn't till wednesday that a doctor game me a shot of muscle relaxant and i could finally move without agony.
