Probably about eighty dollars.
I remember a few years ago, a friend of mine bought a pair of $400; came to work all proud of them, showing them off to everyone. The next week she went on vacation, and out on the jet ski. Foolishly decided to wear them out in the ocean. Needless to say, when she got back to shore, she did not have $400 sunglasses with her. The very next week after that she had another pair. I told her I wish I were that rich.

I'm not ballin' enough for Prada. I have to budget with Ray Ban, and IMO they're more expensive than they should be. I once bought a pair for about $100.

. I've need glasses since the 8th grade. I can remember buying two pair of prescription sunglasses in my life but I don't think either was over $100. Now I go for the Transition lenses that turn dark in sunlight and they work great.

Who just said that? Near sighted. I used to wear contact lenses until my eyes changed a while back. Now I can't read with my glasses. Things up close are blurry so I wind up only wearing them about half the time. It's getting to be a royal pain in the ass. Beats being blind but I think I've managed to talk myself into bi-focals or maybe the progressive lenses. Haven't decided.

I spent about that on my Dolce and Gabbana perscription sunglasses. And that was with a discount.

I want to say maybe around $9. Personally, I don't see why people spend more than, say, $20 for a pair. But hey, that's me.

Be careful, especially with the "cheaper" pair. Make sure they have UVA & UVB protection.

Under $10 at either a department store or dollar store.
They get lost, sat on or sand scratched. Can't see investing so much for temporary accessories.
On a cruise once I saw some sunglasses blown off this guys head and into the ocean. He mentioned that they cost over $100. Better invest in one of those security cords if you wear them on the windy deck of a ship.

I can see prescription sunglasses being more expensive. But just basic sunglasses are not something I'm willing to drop a lot of money on especially since most of them are made by the same company. I have no doubt some of the frames are nicer on the expensive ones but I'm not willing to pay such a huge difference in price.

I wouldn't pay more than $30 for a pair of sunglasses and that's too high. I don't consider them a fashion accessory, or even all that essential. If I can get a pair for under $10 (and I can) then that's what I would do.

Probably $15 or $20, though I did get a hand-me-down pair of Oakleys when my brother got a different pair. My glasses came with a magnetic clip on, so I don't count those.
