    VAMPIRE Continues To Reign with Female Teens, Winning in the Hour


    SUPERNATURAL Scores Best Women Ratings in Over 2 Months


    April 9, 2010 (Burbank, CA) – The CW’s freshman hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES scored dramatic week-to-week gains, with increases of 26% in women 18-34 (2.4/cool, 20% in adults 18-34 (1.8/6), 25% in women 18-49 (2.0/6), 23% in adults 18-49 (1.6/5), 33% in female teens (2.8/11) and 25% in total viewers (3.5 million), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, April 8, 2010. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES posted its largest total audience since 2/11/10.

    Competitively, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES won the 8:00-9:00p.m. hour among female teens, and tied for second among women 18-34.

    SUPERNATURAL scared up some strong women ratings last night, as the show posted its best women 18-34 (1.4/4) ratings since2/4/10, and best women 18-49 (1.4/4) performance since 1/28/10.

    SUPERNATURAL improved week-to-week by 17% in viewers (2.8mil) and 17% in women 18-34 and 27% in women 18-49.

    I love vampires...not the ones that sparkle, but the ones that seem more authentic. I haven't watched much of vampire diaries though.
