    Would it bother you if someone who was a prominent porn star harmlessly–and fully clothed–interacted with your kids?
    Would you be okay with a porn star volunteering as, say a swim or gym coach, at a kids recreational center in his or her spare time?

    since i have no kids, lemme speak of my nieces/nephews

    no it wouldnt bother me at all. if the porn star volunteered as some sort of sports coach, and did their job good, then that wouldnt bother me either.

    but if my sister or brother disapproved, then not a whole lot i can do bout that, of course they get final say so.

    If this is a "real life" scenario, I can only imagine that their “adult” job was leaked. I don’t care how good a swimmer she is I don’t think the town is going to announce that “Miss Desiree Gotcock, star of over 100 gangbang films will be coaching swimming at the Rec Center this summer. Sign up now!” If I was the only one who knew and the person was qualified as a coach or whatever and was good with the kids, I don’t think I’d have a problem.

    Wouldnt be problem IMO. If having lots of sex is such a crime that kids cant be around them, then they can't be around their parents and teachers either. Basically any grown up that was sexually active would be off limits.

    Like all the others, I would have no problem with it. However, there are a lot of ppl in Florida who would.

    Recently there was an article in The Miami Herald about a guy who makes loads of money on strip clubs. He has set up a foundation to give to charities. It was low-key how he got his money (legally) because he suspected it would be an issue.

    Sure enuf some journalist found out about the strip clubs and some of the recipients then returned the money. Unbelievable. For one thing, strip clubs do not exploit their dancers any more than my employer exploits me. They are paid for what they do same as me. I type they entertain. Same as a porn star - it is their job and what they do otherwise should not be restricted by their employment.

    no,I wouldn't be uncomfortable with them volunteering around them but I wouldn't let them party with them.

    Maybe, maybe not....I guess it all depends on what's happening, and in how close a proximity they'd be. This reminds me, once I read a porn site that was seeking new models. As a word of advice to applicants, the site said to not try and break into porn if:

    1. If you're actively involved with children.
    2. You volunteer at church.

    Sometimes you can't have both worlds, I guess.

    I laugh at the idea of Brian Pumper, Mr. Marcus or Janet Jacme having enough nerve to sign up for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, despite their day job. I don't know how I would feel about a porn star interacting with my child. My biggest concern would be would kind of influence they would have over them and if they would introduce them to their porn star lifestyle.

    The only reason I might have a problem with it is because when word eventually got out about their porn career, it might prompt the kids to look up their work. I wouldn't want my child seeing the sexual activity of the adults in their life.

    co-signs It's the possible exposure to their adult films that I'd be concerned about. When you were a kid and found out your HOT swim coach was a porn star, wouldn't you go out of your way to try and see their movies (especially if you had access to the Internet?) I would have!

    Since my reply in March about South Florida attitudes, we actually had a case where a guy working at a park with kids WAS a porn star. Someone discovered it and there was a lot of debate going on. I don't know if they fired him or he quit. Think he went back to making movies - pays more.

    Here's another question to consider. Would you rather Dick Driver work with your kids in the park or Father Flanagen?

    Honestly I wouldn't, mostly because of the exposure issue. I can reconcile having to talk to my kids about sex as they mature, but I would rather not have to explain what porn is and why they do it when my curious 7 year old comes to me and asks about it after she hears the rumors that her gym coach moonlights as Dirk Diggler. If someone wants do porn then let them do porn, but don't try to balance it with being a camp counselor.

    I truly wouldnt care, but the age of the kids would make a difference. Little kids wouldnt be affected or know what was going on. But just imagine a 15yr old boy finding out about the porn star? I could even see a group of boys harassing the woman who is trying to help them.

    However, if it were a religious group like a christian youth group or bible school that the star was volunteering for, then I feel teh organization would have the right to determine who should be influencing the kids---- like the teacher with the morality clause in her contract that was fired

    Nope. Especially not if they are still currently active in the porn industry. A former porn star with years in between their work in adult films and today wouldn't be as bad.
