I still have a landline, but I really don't use it that much anymore and I've long since got rid of all those extra features I used to have with it. Just have the most basic (cheap) service that the phone company offers.

I have one for "showy" purposes.... it just makes your home look a little more stable if there is a main "house line" but I hardly ever use it anymore. My cell is basically my life.... Everything important is in it.

We have 3 in the house and 1 in the garage. The only one in the immediate family who has one is my father and he needs it for work. Personally, I hate cell phones, and I'm never getting one.

Same. My house phone is for the sake of job resumes and "on file" information. Like someone else said, I only use it when my cell is out. Anyone who tries to call me on it has about a 50+% chance of not reaching me, even if I'm at home.

I don't have unlimited minutes on my cell so a landline is somewhat mandatory.

Not really anymore. Funny because now the landline is used for "emergencies" (aka the cell isn't charged).

Although I'll likely get one soon, I don't yet have a cell phone. I frankly find them way overrated.

As long as landlines live, I will never get rid of mine. When I'm home I prefer to talk to folks on my landline.

I have both and use my landline more. I have a cheap cell phone plan, so I only really use my cell when I'm out. I have very limited daytime hours on my cell, so the landline gives me more freedom.
