Traveling light is a relative term depending on how long I'll be away. When we do travel, my bag is the one my wife or daughter use to stuff in their overflow because I have room to spare.

i guess somewhere in the middle, i definitely don't travel light, but I don't overpack also.

I do the best that I can but never manage to pack as light as I should. That's because I have physical issues that I have to pack things for. Also, I pack for changes in weather. For a week's vacation I check in a suitcase with a smaller soft case packed inside it, because I almost always return with more than I came with. The small one will be my carry-on. But I do carry a big purse to hold all my meds, camera, magazine, even a lacrosse ball to use on my back during flight (accupressure).

I once packed everything for a 2 week trip, then once i went to vegas with an empty suitcase and bought all new clothes there!

In 1975 I went from the U.S. to Europe, then thru the Middle East to India with a backpack. That's travelling light.

Depends on how long I'm gonna be gone. if its for longer than a week I overpack on clothes.

I've never had to pack to go anywhere except to sleepovers, but I'd probably overpack a little just to make sure, just incase, that kind of stuff.
