If a battered wife and mother doesn't take steps remove her children from the environment of her abusive husband, and allows his abuse of the kids to continue, do you think she should be charged with child endangerment/neglect?

Err, no. You don't know someones situation. It would be the sensible thing to do.....but regardless of that fact, SHE isn't the one abusing them.

Ummm....maybe yes. If a woman is standing idly by while her husband regularly beats the kids to a pulp, then she is culpable to the abuse. She got a responsibility to protect her kids. I have MUCH less sympathy for battered women who stay and let him use the kids for punching bags too.

This, if you want to be a substitute Everlast bag, that's your problem, but your kids didn't ask for it and they have a lesser chance of being able to fight back.

Not automatically but some cases can warrant criminal charges.
