Women: Could You Dress Everyday Like Women In the 30s?

I won't claim to want to dress as such, but I romanticize the whole era in how these awesome chicas ran their kitchens.

A few months ago I saw a woman in the city who was dressed up like that, she had the classic hairstyle, pumps, the coat with the shoulder pads, stockings with the seam going down the back of the calf. She looked hot! I stopped her and told her that I liked what she was wearing, she just smiled and said thanks. Women looked pretty hot dressed up back in the 30's and 40's.

Eh, I don't think everyday would be the move.

Nope...a man maybe.

1920-1940s fashions are great for masquerade parties and such, but I couldn't imagine dressing like that on a regular basis. The corsets alone would kill me.

No way. I'm a jeans, tshirt & boots kinda gal.

I really like how women dressed in the '30's, 40's and '50's - such a classic look! But I don't think I could dress and primp like that every single day, although I do think it would be cool if I could find some of those on-the-side-of-the-head-hats they used to wear.

Not on a regular bases. When I worked in a middle school, I liked to dress nicely but in the job I've been in this fall, I haven't worn nice clothes as I work with a severely handicapped child in a wheelchair and my clothes can get dirty too easily as this kid drools and is only bathed maybe once or twice a week, plus his wheelchair is pretty filthy - his mom never cleans it.

Don't wear pumps unless it's a special occasion - pumps wouldn't really work in my job.
