When someone shakes hands with you is it like they've taken hold of a dead fish or they're risking a broken hand?

Re: Shaking hands
I really don't like shaking hands and don't initiate it. It is a major way for passing microbes.
After shaking hands I am aware that I should not touch my mouth or eyes until washing.
However, when pressed to the task, I do give a firm grasp without trying to inflict pain on the other person.

My handshake is strong. Hope you have a strong grip too, otherwise I'm taking that arm.

Re: Shaking hands
For some reason, I expect to have the stronger grip....and because of that I get taken off guard when I come across someone with a better one than me.

Isn't that awkward? You shake hands with someone that looks a little frail so you take it easy and they have a grip fit to crack walnuts.

I have a pretty firm handshake, with women I take it easy with the grip!
