If all goes according to plan, what age are you planning to retire? If you don't have a 'plan' per se, then what age would you like to?

By the time I get to retirement age, they will have upped it so much that we'll all have to work 'till we die!

With unemployment & rising costs I'm afraid that's exactly what's going to happen.

Re: Your retirement age
I am 66 and can't afford to retire. I make $1280 a month in Social Security. To give you an idea, my rent is $655. Add electric, Internet, & phone, another $150. So there's $800 out of my check already. IDK what Medicare will require but I think that takes another hunk out of that check (while working I have health insurance).
I'll be dipping into my savings to eat (and go to the movies - gotta have some quality of life.)
Of course by not working I would have time to hang out panhandling for movie money.

Re: Your retirement age
I would love to retire at 50, but that most likely isn't happening. I'm predicting between 60 and 70.

Re: Your retirement age
I would love to retire NOW.
But realistically, I predict that I'll be working up until I'm 65.
