| Do you think that talent is always natural, or can it be learned? | |

| Talent is natural - you can improve upon it by education, but the innate talent is what determines what your limits are.
(I'm sure anyone can learn to play an electric guitar, but that won't make them a Jimi Hendrix)

| To what degree are we defining talent? Does someone who works hard to be able to competently play a musical instument have talent? | |

| Anyone can be trained to be technically good at just about anything, but in order to be soulful at it people have to be born with an emotional connection to it. | |

| I think it's hard to say because you could be born with a great gift but if you never try it, you'll never know. Somebody who has never played the piano in their life, if they would ever try, might turn out to be very naturally gifted, so you have to wonder how many natural talents die out because it's stuff the people never pursue. | |

Too many talents die out. I think everyone is born with a natural aptitude for something, but never get the chance to cultivate it.
