A hotel near my house was built about two years or so ago. They have a pool with a little water park in it that has a big water slide. The other stuff is geared more toward very young children.

The thing is, they have not had the big water slide running the entire time they have been in business. They do not want to have a life guard on duty and that would be a requirement for them to operate it.

I think it is false advertising because anyone who checks pics online of the place sees that and can assume it is operational.

I'd be pissed as hell if I booked a room there based on interest of the water park! So I'd have to say YES!

Having the waterslide in their ad would indicate that they have a functioning waterslide. So I'd say yes, false advertising.

It's definitely false advertising and bad business, since they are advertising this feature to attract customers. Something for the Better Business Bureau to look into.

That's a good idea. People have to be more careful with their money these days. It would be a shame for some family to plan a stay there based on the waterslide in the ad & end up with nothing more than a room.

Yep. False advertising and if it were one of the selling points that I used to make my decision, I'd be pissed and would ask for a refund.
