Oh yes. I was hated by the MIL before she even met me. She wanted to choose the wifey herself. Already had one in mind too lol. And she was used to getting her way. When she met me she liked me even less because she was the type who liked to shove a sick up people's asses & steer them around. I don't play that.

We never really dated back when I was young, just met up, spent the night together and never met any family members.
However I did meet the family of Lorily who was in a play marriage that lasted 6 months. IDK if they really liked me. They may have just been tolerating me as another of Lorily's love fiascos.
My partner Jim's family seemed to like me - including his mother. But Jim had such dreadful history (drug addiction) that they may have considered me the lesser of many evils.
