| When I was a kid, there was no cable, no satellite TV - not even VCR. Parental Control was done by the FCC for all ages and all of TV and movies were PG rated. | |

| No when I was a kid my parents didn't use any kind of locks and codes for the cable. They just didn't subscribe to any of the adult channels. I don't know if I'd use them with my daughter, since it's not like I subscribe to any of the spice networks either, so I don't see it being an issue. I'm not going to block out network TV or basic cable. It's not that serious. | |

It's probably different depending on the area or the company, but here getting those channels is the click of one button unless you block them. | |

| Parental controls feels like something OVER-PROTECTIVE parents partake in. I would do that if my child gave me reason to think they couldn't be trusted otherwise. | |
