Unfortunately Canada swung right the last election. Also unfortunately the Conservative party (now very radical) got a majority government on less than 40% of the vote!

The right's stronghold is still too great. But, I think more people are starting to realize what headcases most of them are. And that's a good thing.

I think after the '08 election people started acting a fool & swung right. But I think it's starting to turn back to a little more sensibility. I hope.

Eh, it's still in it's left swing, although for the masses, that swing has slowed. (The elitists will never swing right. lol) If Obama gets re-elected and is no longer accountable to anyone, I'd expect that masses swing to come slicing back right.

I think there are evil political forces trying pull it to the right in the news media, but when it comes to the people I think society is more left or moderate left.
