I basically have only seen this happen on TV. Anybody had to have one of these before? If so, for what?

Well, I have not been part of an intervention.

However (long story) my best guy friend's wife told him he told us about his drinking during his family intervention. He was very upset about disappointing us.

Glad it went down that way as I could have not been part of his intervention.

Uhhh.. yeah... with my sister.

She started calling my mom saying that she was "kidnapped" and did not know where she was--- so I *69'd her ass and got the number... then reversed directoried it to get the address.

My mom figured if she kept calling, she couldnt really be kidnapped, but she did do things for attention. So my mom told her "Kirsten and your brother are on their way up to you in PA... they mapped out the ride.. and they are coming for you" My sister said, "I'll be home in an hour" and hung up.

45 mins later, she came home... and I intervented her ass when i threw her junky butt ontop of the car by her throat and said, "you ever pull that shit with mommy again, and I kill you... cause i would rather see u dead than getting raped somewhere by junkies!"

Still holding her by the thoat.. i threw her 100pound body in the car and me and another sister drove her to a rehab--- Fuck all that bullshit of "tell her how you feel and how it affects you"

THEY ARE ADDICTS--- they only care about themselves and dont give a flying rat's ass what you think or feel!!!

Mornin I usually miss out...posting so late almost all the time

I don't know if it was a "proper" intervention, but I have been in situations where there was a get together and one person there was out of control, so the party turned into an "impromptu" intervention, with everybody basically telling this person about how fucked up they were. Nobody came to the party for an intervention, but it turned into one.
