Made it home in one piece. The roads are starting to get pretty sloppy. Doesn't look like many plows have been through yet. Just ease off the gas.

I got home around midnight. It's not snow, but lots of black ice... Thank god i bought this new car.. the other mustang V6 was much lighter and would slip and slide in this crap. This new one is very heavy, has rear stabilization with wider tires for better traction--soooo glad i did not go cheap on this car.
Wish u all well in tomorrow's commute. I wont be going in til 2pm, so hopefully all will be good by then

I can see the main highway from our window. Looks like traffic is zipping passed at the normal speed. Maintenance has plowed the road and sidewalk by us. *knocks on wood* the power stayed on last night!

Re: NY and NJ People
I made all the right connections last night with the LIRR. They suspended service for over 2 hours last night at 7 and I am sure it was mad chaos at Penn Station. I heard they resumed limited service about 9pm so that means people were stuck for over 2 hours and probably took another 2 to get home.
This morning my area looked like Siberia, there must have been over 5 inches of snow, water and slush everywhere. Plows come to my neighborhood last since the main highways are their primary concern.
I was praying last night that the people that finally got their power back didn't lose it again and also the hundreds of thousands without power somehow managed to keep warm and safe.

Like I said earlier, I was trooping it up to class that night when it started snow, then had to turn right back around when it got canceled. Talk about pissed.

Re: NY and NJ People
With the LIRR running on limited service that night I just made it out of the city before they shut down completely leaving hundreds stranded in Penn.
