The only store around here doing the free turkey this year that I know of is Food Lion. And of course for the last month or two the best sales have been at other stores. But it's all good. Got a great deal on one.

Well no free turkey but today they just gave us a $25 gift certificate at a large supermarket - they tell me that would buy a quite large turkey. As every year gonna send it to my daughter, since we have a different large supermarket in my neighborhood.

Grocery gift certificates are the way to go. It pleases those who do not eat meat/turkey and also allows people to buy a Butterball if they wish. I have to say, Butterball has the best turkeys.
