I don't have solid memories of AW. But I recall a character, Mary, having amnesia or something on New Year's Eve in the 80's and how upset I was that she was not celebrating with her own family. I named my next Barbie doll after her.

I remeber Cass and Frankie very well. My dad looks exactly like Cass! Isn't that something? I hear what HAS to be "Cass" in commercial voice overs....Can you confirm that?

Wow - you've got a gorgeous dad, then, you don't mind me saying so! I loved Cass!!! Ryan Harrison was my first soap crush! I was still back in high school and so in love with him - the knight in shining armour, back in the days when you could trust the cops in soaps to do their jobs and go after the bad guy.

As for what the actor playing Cass is doing now? I'm not sure. He went to ATWT for awhile, but I think they killed off his character years back. I watch AW before my Internet days, so I didn't really know the real names of the cast very well - just the characters.

The commercial voice overs I am sure are "Cass" are for a medicine, as he is listing the side effects. If I hear it and think of it, I will try to give you a link to see if you agree.

LOL, at your comment about Dad being gorgeous! I guess when I see "Cass" I think, "painfully average" as nobody wants to think of a parent as good looking, and my dad really does look just like him. Dad is probably shorter, but other than that, it is uncanny.

This jerk was just an overall wiseguy, he bullied people all the time and called people names and was constantly fighting with the other board members. For some reason the moderators thought he was some kind of god or he had something on them because they never banned him. I got tired of his nonsense and decided to just go along with his hot air. He defused quickly when I didn't back down and then wanted to be my best friend.

Or immature mods. At this one music forum I used to frequent, the admin and mods were as bad as the members. They'd cuss, fight with the members, openly favor certain posters over others, unabashedly wave their moderator powers, etc., etc. I'm thinking to myself, how does this forum keep people coming back when the leadership behaves like biased brats? It's one thing to have a bunch of childish acting members, but it's always been my opinion that mods should be lead by example (although I guess they were, because the members were terrors too) and be as inviting/unbiased as possible.

Yeah - that can be an issue too, Chris. Power tripping and coming down to the level of the most immature memembrs just doesn't set the example you want on a board, unless you want a trashy board.

You can express your opinion, but when your biases cloud your judgments when it comes to moderating and you give those who agree with you free pases, and those who disagree with you get harsh sentences, it's time for that mod to be removed.
