Re: Do you hold grudges?
It's funny, I keep saying that I want to hold grudges against people but it never works out that way. Most petty shit to hold grudges over, I don't even care about. So I get over things quick. You'd have to do some really fucked up shit to me for me to hold anything against you. Now, it in heat of a serious argument, I might bring it up and it'd solely be to hurt you or piss you off.

I try not to hold any grudges for any length of time unless someone does something really bad to me.

Oh hell yes. People say forgive and forget, I say when the other person is dead, THEN I'll forgive them, but until then, hell no.

Re: Do you hold grudges?
Eh, yes and no. I try to like a person who is willing to change but I am not so eager to just let things go cause once hurt, I am not the most willing to trust again. So I guess I hold a little bit of a grudge, even if I do try to let them go whenever possible.

Re: Do you hold grudges?
Hmmm - usually not too long, I guess - it depends on how deep the hurt is. I don't know if it would be a grudge, so much as working to forgive a person in that case but if it's something really deep, it takes longer.

Re: Do you hold grudges?
I hold grudges, big time! If someone wrongs me, I never forget it - ever. I may get over it or forgive after a short time if it wasn't something too bad, but forget? Never. But if someone does something really horrible to me, I will never forget and I will never forgive.

Years....
I may forgive or I may forget....but I usually won't do both.

Re: Do you hold grudges?
I don't like to hold grudges because they're damaging to my spiritual health.
That being said, I recently held a MAJOR grudge against one of my former best friends for about six months because she was spreading very vicious rumours about me. However, the day before yesterday I decided that holding all that hate in my heart was just unhealthy, so I forgave her.

Re: Do you hold grudges?
I try not to. I think most people who make a habit out of holding grudges unconsciously think that their internal anger somehow negatively impacts the person their angry at. In the words of Madea, "you're carrying around all that stuff, while they're sleeping at night."

Perfecto. Unless they stole from you or slept with your woman/man or something.....what exactly is there to hold a serious grudge on somebody for years over? You might not think so, but you're wasting more energy doing so than not. Pretty ironic considering that you 'supposedly' hate the person you're mad at.
