People who have never done drugs

Needle in a haystack I'm sure but if there's anybody here who has never in their lives tried drugs, least of all the illegal substance variety instead of drugstore pills, what was it that sold you on never trying it?

For me I guess it was back when I was 7 and first became aware that drugs existed, my brother and I watched A Pup Named Scooby Doo, and in one episode they meet a skateboarder who got messed up with drugs, and Velma said point blank 'that's sure not smart, drugs can mess you up, even kill you', and I never in my whole life ever thought 'oh I wonder what it's like' 'oh, it can't be that bad', 'oh, it'll be fun', but as a kid that definitely sold me on never getting messed up in it.

They just never seemed appealing to me. Admittedly I once attempted to smoke weed in college, but after two puffs I was so unimpressed by the whole thing that I never had any desire to try again.

that was me when i was a teenager, i did expiriment with drugs. i guess i was curious.

now tho, im totally drug free!

I drank a little bit in H.S. but I didn't start experimenting with other forms of chemistry until I went to college. Tried just about everything except heroin at least once. Loved pot but was totally unimpressed with coke. Despite both my brother and I smoking dope, neither one of use developed a nicotine addiction despite everyone in our family being cigarette smokers except for my maternal grandfather.

I started early on cigarettes and booze. I remember collecting my brothers long butts when I was 7 and hiding them in the outhouse. Darn near got caught at that. I started buying beer when I was 15 but never got addicted to it like cigarettes. Quitting cigarettes was the hardest thing I ever did after smoking for 35 years.

When I was a kid, no one did dope of any kind, at least not where I lived. Pot became a big thing after I was an adult. I didn't try pot until I was 70. I'm not impressed with the high and it sure is rough on the lungs but I find that if baked in chocolate chip cookies, it's a pretty good pain reliever. I'm not sure it relieves pain so much as I just don't care anymore and can sleep.

I've tried weed before, but that's not really a 'drug'. All of the other stuff I never tried because I simply wasn't interested.

In high school, I only drank. It wasn't till I got to college did all hell break loose. I tried just about everything except Heroin. That drug always scared me. Don't ask me why I can do a line of coke or crack but not heroin. Don't understand the reasoning there. I did however fall in love with pot. Took me years but I finally went cold turkey off everything. Probably was having kids and realizing what an example I was setting for them. I only smoke cigs now, which I wish I could quit.
