no...If they find evidence that they have drugs at school then they should have a consequence for that. They should not be able to drug test them though. That's overstepping, IMO.

It's justifiable to drug test in work places because you want to make sure your pilot, your mechanic, your guy in the bulldozer, isn't higher than a kite and knows what he's doing, in school? What, you want to find out if they flunked their test because they're stoned or if they were just stupid?

No. We've already discussed locker searches but this is not the same thing. Lockers are school property. Students aren't. The one exception I would make would be for athletes to test for PEDs.

Absolutely not. If a kid is found with drugs or comes to school noticeably under the influence, then either their parents or the police (or both) should be called.

A private school may have a remote chance to pass random testing rules, but public Schools must follow public law, and this includes Constitutional Rights. They couldn't get away with this.
