When it comes to the people in your life who you notice are naive, conservative, or exceedingly innocent for their (adult) age, are you–assuming you are the opposite of that–more prone to 'corrupting' their ignorance by introducing them to things that conflict with it, or are you more likely to try and shield them from things that may corrupt their innocence?

Definitely the corrupter. Being insanely naive/ignorant rubs me the wrong way. I will definitely tell you how things get down if I have too. The only time I might preserve any innocence is if it's a child.

I do not try either way. I simply let them be. Granted that if daily interaction I believe something can hurt them I may give my feedback or suggestions. However, in many cases people need to learn for themselves by experience and that means some pain at times so let them live life.

I don't corrupt people with things that are unnecessarily negative....but I'm not going to play into anyone's fantasy or delusion either, especially if they're an adult.
