Alot of times kids know who each of their parents favorite child is even if the parent never says so. Do you think having a "favorite" is wrong on parents parts?

I think it's very common and I don't think the parents are trying to be mean when they do it, but they are sending a bad message to their kids...I think if a parent does have a favorite, they should keep it to themselves and never let it show.

I think it's wrong if they don't (try to) find a way to show love for and take pride in each child in whatever way they have to based on who each kid is. Works the other way too. Kids have favorite parents.

That's just human nature. A parent is going to bond with one of their kids a little more. It becomes bad parenting when it's obvious who they prefer, and it affects how they treat the others.

I think most parents do, esp. if theres' 3 or more kids, but it's bad parenting to show it.

That's certainly true, I always did, and they both know it.

I agree. When there are multiple kids, with different temperaments, it probably becomes easier for a parents favorite to stick out.

I think it is unfair when it is obvious to others. That should be something well hidden.

I agree to a point. But I don't necessarily think bonding with one child more is necessarily a "favorite child." IMO, a favorite child is really cemented by how they are treated and IMO, it is very bad parenting. We know that firsthand.
