    Rant A certain high school principal acted so poorly today

    Last night, in Southern Wisconsin, a 15-year-old boy died. This morning, his name was still not being released. However, a Madison news channel called the local high school and the principal gave up the name of the boy.

    Yeah, I know with social media it would have been all over by this afternoon, but the official statement should be via the family and the principal should have stayed mum.

    True. The name of a minor should never be released in that situation unless the parents wanted it. But it also shouldn't have been reported without the parents' consent. Bad journalism.
