A charity org called "The Candie's Foundation" is paying Bristol Palin $262k to promote abstinence.

I don't understand the negativity around this? Seriously, it is less than $300,000, and Candies is known to pay celebs in their ad campaigns, so it is not at all a shocker that they chose Bristol to be part of the Candies Foundation to promote abstinence.

Personally, I feel that a young woman who knows personally how hard it is to be a mom at a young age is a better spokesperson for the gig than a popular young woman who has never, or claims to have never, had sex.

But I still don't like that family.

I think a mom who actually knows what it's like to struggle is a better spokesperson. How can a wealthy & privileged faux celeb like Bristol Palin be taken seriously? She has NO idea what real struggle is like. What would her idea of struggle be? Neiman Marcus out of her size?

I'm glad there are people trying to educate the youth about pregnancy, and I don't really care if Bristol get a check from it or not, but it's the abstinence only thing that ticks me off.
