For me, I have seen that those who brag about their relationship perfection at length usually have something major going on and it doesn't take long for that to be discovered.

I, too, have noticed this many times. My mom used to tell me that real 'lovey-dovey' couples often ended up in divorce, and I thought she was just being negative. But, by golly, it didn't take long as an adult to see that she was on to something.
