Better than with someone that ran thru their money with no budgeting sense. I have always lived within my means.

Well when we were dating hubby was in the US Navy, he had to be careful, heck he even once had to borrow my last 2 dollars to get back to San Deigo. Then a 4 hour drive from where I lived and he was hitch hiking!

But, wasn't it exciting? Probably worth it.
My first GF, Halet and I could not even be seen in public. I couldn't get her anything - we were like Romeo & Juliet - forbidden in our affair. So we saw each other just to see each other.
(Oh, I did bring Iset, our go-between message deliverer who lived in my apt bldg. some black market booze from the PX)

These days you gotta be careful. I don't care about coupons or discounts. Use them! Things can certainly be taken to extremes but not being at least a little cautious is irresponsible.

It would depend on how. If he was the type that was too cheap to buy quality or would just cut corners to avoid safety or something like that, then yeah....that would be a problem.

If the person was just broke but had a generous heart, I could deal with it but if the person was just a miser then AMF.

omg... my ex flipped on me once cause i ordered a glass of orange juice for breakfast at a diner. he hollered about how he could buy me a carton at wawa for the same price as the glass! I hate cheap men... but in this economy, more and more are becoming more and more broke.
