I set up a separate checking account to put all the money I collected and write checks to pay for the expenses. There was a little money left over that I used to reimburse others on "the committee" for things they paid for out of pocket. In the end, I myself was only out about $30. BTW, know the definition of "committee"? It's a life form with at least six legs and no brain.
I set up the checking account to make checks payable to the Class of 1992 Reunion--- even gave the committee the passwords so they could get online and see what I was depositing and paying. Literally no one has done/paid for anything but me.. so that's not a problem.
I even said that all they had to do was man the door in 15min shifts...and THAT became an issue... really??? u can't give 15min when I have done all the work? Crazy. Now it is to the point where my friend will man the door for me. I dont trust these bitches to count anyway. lol
I REALLY wish Red could have been there... I could just see her saying, "oh you don't like the ballon bouquets... well too freakin bad. Go kiss a va jay jay cause u didnt do shit" LOL
