And don't forget, 4 more years within which we might be able to change the balance on the Supreme Court, so anti-American rulings like Kelo, Citizens United and now the denial of a wrongful conviction settlement to John Thompson, in spite of proof beyond all doubt (even the Supreme Court's) that 5 District Attorneys conspired to withhold exculpatory evidence that proved Johnson's innocence from his defense attorneys.

I think those are some pretty good reasons right there.

The Republicans in the Senate couldn't even filibuster for months. lol Please. Anybody but Obama is to blame. lol President Passthebuck! big grin

I don't think they are good reasons. Obama's bills sucked. big grin Each is a reason I won't vote for the guy. The guy is a failure.

And I think Republicans are very healthy for me. Smile Democrats are not healthy for me or anyone I know. Gosh, the reasons not to vote for O just pile up.

I voted for him last time. Haven't been astonished by his tenure in office, but this past year he has gotten better. Right now I'm content with the way he's handling things. I don't vote Republican, so unless a worthy democrat comes along and wins me over, then I will vote for him again.

I'm definitely voting for him again. Up until the last several months or so, I think Obama has been playing it "safe" because (with this 2nd presidential race in mind) he didn't want to rattle too many cages. Now that it's time to get ready for the second race, he's finally starting to play ball so that his administration can claim they did this and that. I have a feeling his second term (and I do think that he will win one) will be more dynamic and hard hitting.

Oprah Won't Publicly Support Obama in 2012 Election
By Rob Shuter Posted Apr 6th 2011 01:48PM

The 'Barack Obama' Discussion Thread [merged] - Page 6 1302110479886

When talk show queen Oprah Winfrey announced she was publicly supporting Barack Obama for president back in 2008, she shocked many TV insiders who had always thought it best for talk show hosts to keep their political views to themselves.

Now as the 2012 election process has officially begun, sources tell me this time around Oprah's support will be much more private.

"For 2012, much has changed for Oprah. She now has own cable channel called OWN that has been struggling to find an audience -- she isn't going to do anything to alienate them," a TV insider tells me. "Unlike in 2008, when a drop in ratings didn't matter as much for the queen of TV, Oprah is now fighting every day to get people to tune into OWN."

Oprah Winfrey's daily talk show ratings dropped in 2008 after her highly publicized political rally for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. An October 2008 Gallup poll before the rallies but after Oprah's public endorsement of Obama found that Oprah's favorable ratings had fallen from 74 to 66 percent while her unfavorable ratings jumped from 17 to 26 percent. Then came news that Oprah's TV ratings showed that her daytime audience, which was nearly 9 million at its height in 2004-05, had fallen to 7.3 million.

As much as Oprah may still love President Obama and may support him behind the scenes, do not expect to see the same public support you saw in 2008. As my source puts it, "Helping a friend keep the most important job in the world is great, but making sure her OWN network thrives is now her priority."

To what degree do you think resistance to President Obama's policies are fueled by racism? Keep in mind that I'm not suggesting that everyone who is not a fan of Obeezy is a racist; however, do you think that racism (spoken or unspoken) plays a significant factor for people having a problem with his policies, and presidency overall?

In a way I am shocked but as I have thought about it more, it doesn't surprise as much. I think the whole admiration with President Obama stemmed from a lot of things as far as Lady O was concerned. I believe she viewed him as articulate, intelligent, charismatic, resident of Chicago, and a pillar of the Afro American community. With those qualities, of course she, being one of the loudest voices in the world would publicly endorse him. While I am a supporter of President Obama (I am a soldier/leader...duh)I believe the support that he had when he first started, has dwindled. He promised a lot, and not much has been done. However, I believe that Rome was not built in one night, and he will not fix all that is wrong with America in a year, 2, or hell even 4. All of those things could be a culmination of why she may or may not take a back seat to her being so vocal. I guess we shall wait and see.

You would think this would make the right shut the fuck up but no...now they're questioning his education.
Trump Pivots From Obama’s Birth Certificate to College Grades
Says the president needs to explain how he got into Harvard.

    Well, that didn’t take long.

Now that the White House is passing out copies of President Obama’s long-form birth certificate like they’re flyers for half-priced chicken shwarma, Donald Trump has something new atop his wish list: Obama’s college records.

After first taking credit for forcing Obama’s hand, the reality star/real-estate tycoon told reporters in New Hampshire that he won’t stop digging into Obama’s past despite the press trying to “protect” the president.

“The word is, according to what I’ve read, that he was a terrible student when he went to Occidental,” Trump said. “He then gets to Columbia; he then gets to Harvard. … How do you get into Harvard if you're not a good student? Now, maybe that’s right, or maybe it’s wrong. But I don’t know why he doesn’t release his records.”

What Trump said next, however, makes it more than a little unclear what, exactly, he thinks the release of the records would prove.

“Everyone says he was this great student. Well, if he was, that’s great, and if he wasn’t, that’s great,” he said, later adding. “If he wants to release it that’s fine, and if he doesn’t want to release it that’s fine too.”

Pathetic. Why don't they just admit the truth?

And shouldn't Trump be releasing those tax records of his like he promised?

Yeah, he's a humble one. From the same link as above...

Trump may be moving on from the birth certificate issue—but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want credit for its release.

“Today, I’m very proud of myself because I accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish,” Trump said at the opening of a New Hampshire press conference. “I want to look at it, but I hope it’s true so that we can get on to much more important matters; so the press can stop asking me questions.”

LMAO! like this egotistical idiot isn't basking in the attention. He's a big boy & a rich one at that. If he didn't want the attention he could just get out from in front of the cameras. Most of the country would thank him.

It FINALLY hit me as to why people were questioning his citizenship. Like, I seriously just had an epiphany. These motherfuckers don't know that Hawaii is an actual state! That's it's ACTUALLY a part of the US! Explains a lot. Perhaps a geography lesson is needed. Furthermore, a citizenship lesson is needed as well. Obama's mother was a naturally born US citizen. That makes Barack a citizen too, regardless of where he was born. Period.

I think it goes even deeper than that. The claim was that he was born in Kenya. Some of them even tried to allege that the newspaper announcement when he was born was some kind of conspiracy by his grandparents. They were throwing out everything they could & hoping something would stick. They were looking crazier everyday. Then they believed Trump would give it some kind of credibility.

HuffPo put up a hilarious version of the BC. I'm gonna go look for it & see if I can link it.

I'm willing to bet most of them just don't know Hawaii is a US state, lol. Obama would not be President if he wasn't an American citizen. You think Hilary would've let that happen?

He's even saying that NOW they can address the more 'pressing' issues. They couldn't do that instead of this nonsense?

Yep, if Hillary couldn't find "proof" (& goodness knows she tried prior to the election lol), that's because it doesn't exist. The racism in this is an embarrassment to the entire country. They got the damn "long form" they've whined about and now the move is toward his education & admission to Harvard. Unreal.
