I do if they're properly cooked. Or at least well behaved. If they're not brats, I don't mind having them around. Sometimes they can be a lot of fun. I dislike it though, when a child keeps interrupting their parent that I'm trying to have a conversation with but I really dislike it when the parent doesn't correct them. Yes, I know that kids will be kids but they need to be taught. My niece on my wife's side of the family can be a real bitch for a while now (she'll turn 10 in August). And I don't take it. | |

| Aside from inheriting a 13-year-old daughter and traveling a lot with my 14 to 16-year-old grandson, I have actually worked with kids.
Granted the kids I worked with were in an institution and many had behavior/psych problems but they were kids and it was nice interacting with them, helping them work thru probs and sharing those moments of childhood joy. I was actually a Scout Master of a BSA Troop I formed for those kids and we went on campouts.
OH, and for half a year in New Orleans I took in an 11-year-old boy from the projects. I actually had the experience of being a parent, getting the boy off to school, cooking, buying clothes, doctor appointments, helping with homework. I was mid 30s then, probably some paternal thing kicked in. It was a good experience and the kid, tho he went back with his mother in the projects, did graduate HS and was doing alright last I heard from him. | |

| I love kids and when I am around them I become a big kid to play with them. Kids that are spoiled can sometimes become taxing and those type I am happy to see go home LOL. | |

| Umm, if they're well behaved....I can tolerate them. The little snot nosed brats are the ones I'm liable for slapping up. Some of these kids out here are TOO grown. | |

| It depends. I work in a middle school and that's GREAT birth control!!!!!!!! More days than not, I come home not wanting kids. The school I work it... well - it's not just the kids, who are pretty entitled and spoiled (it's the neighbourhood) but the lack of support from higher up and the fact that there are no consequences and the kids know it. Hardly an hour goes by when you're not getting attitude or back talk from some kid who thinks the world revolves around him.
I have friends with wonderful kids, though, and I love those kids.
