We don't have any but we've been close with the family of a very good friend for years and two of her sisters are adopted. Makes no never-minds to anyone. My brother told me they were looking into adopting but he hasn't said anything about it in a while. I'd still look at the kid as a niece or nephew.

The only one in my family is a cousin's new baby, and I haven't seen this cousin in 25 years. I only have info now due to FB. It wouldn't matter one bit to me if a close family member adopted a child. The child would still be family.

One of my cousins is adopted and we don't treat him any differently than any other family member.
