HomeI'm still living at home with my folks but am planning to be out by the end of the year. I lived by myself for awhile in my late teens and early 20s but when the lease on the apt was up, i didnt renew and came back home (to the basement). That was 4 year ago. When i leave this time, hopefully it will be for good. How old were you when you moved away from your parents FOR GOOD?

I was 16. Life there sucked for me though, so that's why.
My husband was 25 and didn't move out of his parents house until I met him and refused to live with his parents. His brother is now 31 and still living at home, they must make it really comfortable there

After college, I moved back home with my parents for another year and a half. Moved out of their house for good when I was twenty-three.

When I got married at 27. I had been on my own before that but moved back to save money.

I was 18 but just went to a new parental unit called the United States Air Force.
Altho, gotta say mom and dad were much nicer than the TI.

I never moved. They got divorced and part of the settlement was giving the deed to the house to the children. My parents and siblings have long since moved and I still live in the house, albeit it's owned the the 5 of us kids.
